Waterproofing

Advice in BS 5385-4 recommends that in tile installations that are not immersed, but subject to frequent contact with water, the basic structure behind the tiles should be watertight. Since there is likely to be relatively little opportunity for the installation to dry out between periods of use, it should be tanked.
